Please note: This individual may be expected to work in a site based role.
Work as a part of the Project Management Team in managing cost, schedule, change management and forecasting aspects of the project
Work with Accounting to reconcile Subcontract, Purchase Order, and Invoicing issues
Support quantity checks at a summary level for other aspects of the invoicing
Support Project Manager in updating the overall high-level project schedule and provide analysis of comparison to the original planned start and finish dates
Responsible for developing (with Estimating) the Project WBS and OBS. Ensures that the project is broken out in accordance to Cord’s and owner’s requirements
Set up Progress and Performance measurement requirements/reporting for projects in accordance to the WBS and OBS
Analyse costs/schedules and report on any anomalies, fluctuations, unusual occurrences or other spending concerns that could impact the project final cost forecast and expected completion date
Provide overall project change management process and support project forecasting (cost and schedule)
Review all cost and schedule reports prior to submission to management
Review the basis of estimate – Lump Sum, Target Price, Unit Rtes
Other duties as assigned
Job Specific Knowledge:
Responsible for understanding the complete scope of work and the project estimate, including sub contractor’s work.
Technical skills in Cost & Schedule Management, Earned Value & Change Management
Experience in a construction modular environment considered an asset
3 - 5+ years’ experience in the industrial construction field with related Project Controls experience
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Alberta Industry Trades Certification or
Technical Diploma or Engineering degree is preferred.
Proven competency in the operation of Project Controls software applications (MS Projects)
Proven competency in the operation of key office software and productivity tools such as: MS Office suite of tools
Ability to work under pressure in a changing environment
Effective and objective decision making capabilities by gathering factual information
Attention to detail and a focus on producing a quality product in a timely manner
Able to coordinate activities to meet requirements in a timely fashion.
Interpersonal skills – establish direct working relationships and rapport
Communication skills – demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
